Why the package name can be confusing
People often talk about “RIP” as though every ticket includes the same tent and facilities. It does not. Hotel, cabin, pre-pitched and bring-your-own options can have different entry rules, parking and sleeping arrangements. Screenshots from a previous year are not a substitute for your booking terms.
What to verify before paying
- Does the package include accommodation or only the pitch?
- Is a vehicle pass included or separate?
- Which showers and toilets can you use?
- Is arena or guest-area access included?
- What furniture, bedding and power are supplied?
- Which day can you arrive and when must you leave?
Keep a copy of the exact package description and confirmation email. Festival products can be renamed or adjusted between editions.
RIP versus Camping Plus
Download’s official information describes Camping Plus separately, with features such as 24-hour reception, a pamper area, showers and flushing toilets. That does not automatically give the wider package features associated with RIP. Compare the actual inclusions, not only the label “premium”.
Our experience
The biggest benefits for us were comfort, easier facilities and having a calmer base after long arena days. Whether that justifies the price depends on sleep, mobility, budget and how many nights you will use it—not on whether it looks fancy in a video.
