Corfu Cruise Port to Old Town: Bus, Walk or Taxi?

Corfu Cruise Port to Old Town: Bus, Walk or Taxi?

Quick answer: The official Corfu City Bus line 16 connects the cruise mooring area with Spilia beside the Old Town. Walking is possible for many visitors, while a taxi is useful in intense heat or for limited mobility. Line 15 connects the port with San Rocco and the airport.

The easiest public-transport option

Corfu City Bus lists line 16 specifically for the port and Old Town. Services and fares can change, so check the official timetable close to your visit and look for the current stop inside or near the cruise area. Do not rely on an old screenshot.

Can you walk?

The route is achievable for many reasonably mobile visitors, but port infrastructure, heat and traffic make it less charming than the Old Town itself. Walking back after several hours on cobbles may feel much longer. Use offline mapping and keep the ship’s all-aboard time visible.

When to take a taxi

A taxi can make sense for a group, limited time or reduced mobility. Confirm whether the fare is fixed or metered before setting off and make clear that you mean the cruise terminal, not simply “the port”.

Our experience

Corfu Old Town was the real reward: elegant streets, fortifications, squares and sea views. We would spend less energy proving we could walk every metre and more energy enjoying the centre.
